Lions Club International is a community service organization in which I recently became a member.  At one of last month’s meetings, the guest speaker was the Executive Director from the Guild for the Blind, which is located in Chicago.

There are nearly 10 million people in the United States caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, many of whom work full time.  These caregivers often find they need to drop what they’re doing at work to handle the loved one’s pressing health matters – often at the expense of their performance and, possibly, their job.
